Obituary of Anna Margaret Barr

Anna Margaret Barr, 65, former resident of Eugene passed away July 16, 2015. Anna was born to Joseph and Marie Steiner in Eugene, Oregon on March 27, 1950. She was a graduate of Willamette High School’s class of 1968 and the Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in 1971. Here she received her degree as a Registered Nurse. After graduating nursing school she married her husband Roy Barr on September 21, 1971. That was not to be of her education; she received her Bachelor’s degree from Northwest Christian College in 1992. Anna embraced her career as an RN and spent 44 years in her chosen field; here at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene and the Redmond Surgical Center. She loved sports; football and baseball were her favorites along with her beloved Oregon Ducks. She, Roy and their dogs often enjoyed visits to the Oregon Coast. Yet, Anna’s greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren, nothing could compare with that. Anna is survived by her two sons and daughters-in law; Brian and Misty Barr; Jason and Deanna Barr both of Eugene; 6 grandchildren; brother John and sister-in law Melissa Steiner of Albany, OR and sister Karen Steiner of Springfield, OR. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church, in Eugene on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 11:00 am. Arrangements entrusted to Poole-Larsen Funeral Home.
