Obituary of Bradford Pellet
Bradford Pellet, 80, was a civil engineer who worked in the Capitol Hill neighborhood building and renovating houses and small office buildings for almost forty years. He served in the Korean War in the 1950s. Following his military service, he graduated Lehigh University and then he worked for a major engineering firm constructing large projects such as the 14th Street bridge, the Atlanta Airport, and DC's Metro. He and his beat-up grey truck and friendly dogs were spotted everywhere around Capitol Hill. His favorite haunts were the Tune Inn for morning coffee and the Hawk 'n' Dove for evening sporting events.
He is survived by his sisters, Ann P. Dursch, of Washington State, Dorothy P. Reutlinger of New Jersey, and Elaine P. Ketterer of Ohio, several nieces and nephews, and many friends and colleagues.
Friends and family will remember Brad at a Memorial Mass at St. Josephs Capitol Hill, 313 2nd St, NE, Thursday September 8th at 3pm.
