Obituary of Isabel Florence Taylor
Isabel Florence Taylor
1929 – 2013
Isabel passed away May 25, 2013 in Dawson Creek, British Columbia at 84 years of age. She will be missed by her children: Douglas (Judy) Taylor and Donna (Blain) Massee; grandchildren: Dean (Shannon) Taylor, Jeff Taylor (Janelle Hingley), Cory (Barb) Massee, and Jami (Ty) Stewart; and six great-grandchildren; as well as many friends. She was predeceased by her husband Tiny Taylor.
She was born April 10, 1929 in Imperial, Saskatchewan. She married Tiny Taylor and together they enjoyed working in many local rodeos and attended horse shows together as a family. Tiny passed away leaving Isabel a young widow with two children. Isabel rose to every challenge that came her way while raising her young family and was a very supportive mother and grandmother. She seldom missed her grand-children’s events whether hockey, stock car racing, cadets, singing events, and concerts. She also loved to travel and once took them all to Disneyland. Isabel enjoyed making crafts, playing cards, a good cocktail, bingo, and going to garage sales; not necessarily in that order. As the years went by, Isabel faced her dementia with grace and her family remained close by her side with many happy memories.
A celebration of life service was held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Bergeron Funeral Chapel, in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. Isabel’s grand-daughter Jami, sang and Sydnee read a poem she had written for her great-gramma. Expressions of sympathy may be made in memory of Isabel by donation to
