Obituary of Kenneth Donnavan Myran
MYRAN: Kenneth Donnavan Myran of Brandon, passed away peacefully at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the age of 82 years. Kenneth grew up in Long Plains, until he attended Portage Residential School. Not long after that he was relocated to Birdtail Sioux. As an adult he worked long hard hours as a heavy equipment operator. Kenneth married his first wife and had five beautiful children, Joyce, Dwayne, Brenda, Anita and Roxanne.
He remarried in 1977, to Carol Yvonne Sinclair, and they were happily married for 35 years. They adopted a beautiful baby girl Kendra, and had two handsome sons of their own, Scott and Kerry.
Towards the end of his life, Kenneth fought a long hard battle with Alzheimer's, while residing at Rideau Park.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Carol, sister-in-law Brenda (Gary,) brothers Jack, Phillip and Richard, sisters Margaret, Gladys (Ted,) daughters Joyce (Robert,) Brenda (Thomas,) Anita and Kendra, sons Scott, Kerry and daughters-in-law Candace and Rita, as well as 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Kenneth was predeceased by his parents Albert and Mary, brother, Clifferd, sisters Verna, Vera, Alice and his daughter Roxanne. A funeral service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kenneth may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 4B-457-9th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 4A9.
