Obituary of Robert Crothers

Passed away at home on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the age of 80. Best friend and devoted husband of 63 years to Lois (née Crawford). Son of Hugh and Anna Crothers, brother to Debbie (Bob Stevenson), and Gary (predeceased). Loving father to Calvin, Brenda (Bob Pollock), Hugh, and daughter-in-law Dede. He adored his grandkids Felicia (Eric St. Jean), Joanne (Shane Nakic), Tim (Natasha Major), Nancy (David Arcand), Ryan, and Matthew (predeceased); and great grandkids: Dede, Andre, Sophia, Ethan and Addison. Uncle to Heidi (Lenny McFarland) and great-uncle to Dustin, Ashley-Ann, and Marissa. Bob was a long-time truck driver with Taggart. He loved his boating time on the Mississippi, tinkering with small engines, and had a great love of war history and old movies. The family wishes to thank Bayshore Home Care Solutions for their caring support. Graveside Service will be held in the Garden of the Last Supper at Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3700 Prince of Wales Drive, Nepean, 613-692-1211, on Monday, September 28th at 2 p.m. *Pursuant to maximum attendance regulations, please call the funeral home to pre-register your attendance.* As expressions of sympathy, donations in memory of Bob to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or the Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
