Obituary of Michael Nedd
Mike passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 11th, 2020 at the age of 79 in his home. Devoted Father to Sean, Stepfather figure and friend to Corinne and Terry, loving and extremely protective Brother to Angela, Anne-Marie, Malcolm. Lifelong companion to Annah. Uncle to Brittany, Adam, Elliott, Elizabeth, Michael, Jayelle, Kevin, Kamla Marie. Mike will be deeply missed by other extended family and friends which includes Sean's mother Carole, and loving Aunt Winnifred Nedd.Mike migrated to Canada 47 years ago from Trinidad & Tobago and lived a long, exciting and fulfilling life. He had a bubbly personality, who made friends easily and had an infectious laughter.Ardent follower and player of the game cricket in his younger days. Later developed and loved the game of soccer where he played with the Canadian Caribbean team Antilleans. He went on to manage the soccer club Islanders along with his best friend Carl Reyes, and as a result gained the nickname "Manage". Mike could not wait to retire and he was a dedicated employee with Canada Packers/Maple Lodge for over 40 plus years and always said “work was now a bad word, as he served his time and now.” Tim Horton's became his second "residence" where he could be seen having his coffee and scratching OLG tickets often. He also loved going to Fit For Less where he worked out every day or when the possibility exists. His new found hobby was gardening which he proudly and generously gave of his produce to friends and family.He will be greatly and dearly missed as he was loved by all who knew and met him and lives he touched. Rest well in Paradise alongside your other Angels - Mother Olive, Father Edward, Brothers Andrew and Anthony and Step Dad Clyde.As directed by the Province of Ontario and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario the attendance at the funeral and cemetery is restricted to 30% capacity or less and a record of attendance must be maintained.Wearing of masks, or face coverings, by everyone is mandatory during their time in the funeral home or cemetery.
