At service time, a maximum of 35 family members and close friends will be allowed.PRINCE, Michael JosephOf North York, Ontario passed away suddenly on Friday, September 18th, 2020 at 11:38 am at the age of 64.Michael was born in Toronto, Ontario on June 19th, 1956 to Domenic Prince and Iris Marie Aucoin. He grew up in Toronto and Hamilton.Family was Michael's greatest passion but the Toronto Maple Leafs were a close second. He never missed watching a televised game and could speak very knowledgeable about players, trades, stats and all related sports jargon.Michael will be lovingly remembered by his best friend, partner, and wife, Vanessa de Freitas - Prince, and his precious son, Nolan. Siblings who will forever miss his quiet presence include George O'Brien, deceased (Susan), Marion Taylor, Daniel Aucoin (Lynn), Donna Balemba (Stan), and Barbara Caron (Roger, deceased). Michael holds a special place in the heart of Lissa de Freitas, sister-in-law, who supported Vanessa so lovingly at this difficult time. Michael will be remembered by aunts and uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as dear friends.A funeral service in memory of Michael will be held at Highland Funeral Home - Scarborough, on September 25th, 2020 at 1:00 pm. There will be a visitation from 12pm to 1pm. Family and friends will proceed to Highland Memory Gardens, North York following the service.
