Obituary of June Phyllis Walker

It is with deep sorrow that the Walker Family announce the peaceful passing of June Phyllis Walker (nee Simpson) on September 13th, 2020. Born in Toronto, Ontario on June 7th, 1926, loving wife to the late William (Bill) Walker, cherished mother to James (Styx), Robert (Angela), Linda and Ian (Kimberly), adored Nana to her grandchildren Ashley (Jon), Michael (Emily), Sarah, Hannah, Michael and Joseph and Great-Nana to Kendall, Charlotte, Aurora and Islay. She is predeceased by her mother Irene, father James and sister Jeanne. Phyllis was an incredible person. She always had time to volunteer with many organizations such as Christ Church and Clarkson Lorne Park Lacrosse Association. In her 94 years, Phyllis touched so many lives with her kindness, compassion and generosity. She will be missed and is loved unconditionally. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at Glen Oaks Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held when it is safe for family and friends to gather together, however, due to COVID-19 this will be by invitation only. In lieu of flowers we ask that you consider making a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario.
