Obituary of Maurice Dunstan Archdeacon

ARCHDEACON, Maurice DunstanBorn January 8 1934 in Liverpool, UK.Died September 6, 2020 in Ottawa after a brief illness. A pilot, Maurice emigrated to Canada to join the RCAF in 1957. He retired with the rank of Brig. General. He served as Executive Assistant to two Chiefs of Defence Staff and went on to serve in the Public Service where he helped to form the Security Intelligence Review Committee (SIRC) in 1984. Later he became Inspector General of Canada in July 2000. He also took part in the Air India Inquiry.Beloved husband to Jean and proud father to Sally, Stephen, Philip and Susan. Proud grandad to Callum, Liam, Claire, Briana, Sara and Michaela. He will be sorely missed by all, including his brother Anthony and sister Patricia, both living in the UK.
