Obituary of Nicholas Christou
It is with great sadness that on Thursday, September 3, 2020 we announce the passing of Nicholas (Nick) Christou, who left behind his loving wife, four children and 6 Grandchildren.Nick was born April 23, 1946 in Florina, Greece and moved to Toronto, Canada in childhood. As a young man, he honed his business skills and met the love of his life Louisa, they married and raised two sons Chris and Tim and two daughters Diane and Melody.Nick was an accomplished businessperson and a passionate golfer; he would often be heard stating that a “bad day on the golf course was still a better day than in the office” and would play as often as time would allow. Though he sometimes came off rash and was often misunderstood, he had a heart of gold and always helped those in need. The one thing that is certain is that Nick loved his family and he would boast about them to whoever would listen.Nick is survived by his wife Louisa, his four children Diane, Melody, Tim and Chris, three in-laws Costa, Brian and Anna, and six grandchildren Kosta, Nikolas, Ares, Christopher, Aria and Alias. As directed by the Province of Ontario and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario the attendance at the funeral and cemetery is restricted to 30% capacity or less and a record of attendance must be maintained.Wearing of masks, or face coverings, by everyone is mandatory during their time in the funeral home or cemetery.Respecting the current situation and pandemic building restrictions, a Service will be held for invited guests only, If anyone wishes to attend in person please contact the family directly.
