Obituary of Gisela Zorn

After a brief yet courageous battle with cancer Gisela Zorn has sadly passed away on August 30th, 2020 at the age of 77. Gisela was born in 1943 in the small town of Kirchheim Germany; from there she along with her sisters and family immigrated to Canada living in British Columbia, then Quebec and finally settling in Ontario. While living in Ontario Gisela worked in a number of jobs before finding her true niche as a manager of Cadet Cleaners. A position that allowed her to use her talents as a communicator and negotiator. Gisela won numerous presidential awards as the company’s top store manager. Gisela had many passions in life, she had a natural green thumb and loved her gardens. She was a wonderful cook and always seemed happiest when she was preparing either a big festive dinner or a simple Sunday dinner making the worlds greatest meatloaf. Gisela loved all animals but especially her little dogs more recently Max. Later in life she genuinely enjoyed her “Saturday night dinners” with her many dear friends. Family was always important to Gisela, she is survived by her loving son David, his wife Patricia, her grandsons Jeremy, and Michael. Although time and distance prevented her from being as close as would have liked, she dearly loved her sisters, nieces, nephews, and all their children. Gisela’s funeral service will be held at McDougall and Brown Funeral Parlor located at 2900 Kingston rd. Scarborough, on Friday September 4, 2020. A formal service commencing in person and via livestream at 6:45pm. Please see livestreaming information below. Sadly, due to current Covid 19 restrictions, the service will be subject to invited guests only. In keeping with her final wishes, her cremation will commence a short time later with a private interment gathering.
