Obituary of William F. Lyons

William F. Lyons III, age 61, of Harrisburg, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 22, 2020. William was born on October 4, 1958 in Abington, PA, and was a son to the late William F. Lyons Jr. and Joan M. (Donahue). He worked for the Commonwealth of PA for 35 years. Bill was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, former School Board President, and member of the finance council. He was also a third degree Knight of Columbus. Bill was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan, fisherman, and coach for his children's sports activities. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Surviving are his loving wife of 33 years, Catharine E. (Panczner) Lyons, 3 sons, William F. Lyons IV. and his wife Madyson of Schnecksville, PA., Daniel E. Lyons and wife Karina of Lebanon, PA., John T. Lyons of Harrisburg, PA., 2 daughters, Helen A. Lyons of Washington DC., Mary C. Kurtz and husband Joshua of Baltimore, MD., 2 brothers, Andrew Lyons of Warrington, PA. James Lyons of Chalfont, PA., 2 sisters, Mary (Katie) Lyons, Tina DiBiaso, both of Warrington PA., grandchildren, Samuel T. Lyons-Finio, Jay D. Kurtz, William F. Lyons V., Henry P. Kurtz, Rosalie L. Lyons, Timothy P. Lyons, Molly C. Kurtz and Daniel G.Lyons. Due to the current situation in our country, services will be held as soon as possible in Harrisburg, PA
