Obituary of Calvin Ernest Clipperton

On Thursday, June 10th, 2010, Calvin passed away peacefully at the age of 88 years. Born in Lakeside, Ontario on July 20th, 1921, the eldest of nine children of Charles Ernest and Annie Jane (Hutchinson) Clipperton. Beloved husband of Edith (Astles) for 67 years. Loving father of Carol and the late Douglas Corsaut, Ron and Debbie Clipperton and the late Stephen Clipperton. Loved dearly by Debra Clipperton. Dear grandfather of Jeff Corsaut (Barb), Lisa Corsaut-Kurobasa (Tony), Alison and Anne Clipperton and Christy Clipperton. Great-grandfather of Carmen and Graeme Corsaut and Kaja Kurobasa. Survived by brother Bill and sisters Phyllis, Florence (Kim) and Ruth. Predeceased by brothers Russ and Jim and sisters Dolena and Doris. Calvin was a member of Kilwinning Lodge and a long time employee of Kellogg Canada Inc. serving as Supervisor of the Printing Department for 35 years. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be conducted on Monday, June 14th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
