Judith Scott

Obituary of Judith Lynn Scott

July 30, 1963 - September 5, 2011 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Judy at Victoria Hospital in London surrounded by family and friends after a courageous struggle with cancer. She is the devoted mother of Joel, Hannah, Aaron and Samuel, all at home in London. Judy is the loving daughter of Bill and Donna Scott of Guelph, sister of Johnna Clapperton (husband Peter) of Texas and Taylor (deceased 1994). She will be missed by her nieces Rees Clapperton and Daniella Horley, nephews Zachary and Jacob Clapperton and Christoper Horley. Her many cousins, aunts, uncles, devoted friends and co-workers will miss her consummate winning smile and joyous laughter. Judy attended Centennial Collegiate in Guelph, Fanshawe College in London and the University of Waterloo. Her career was largely spent at the Madame Vanier Children’s Services in London (25 years). Judy’s talents were youth oriented and she nurtured many beyond her own family of four. A bed, a meal, a hug or an ear were amongst her God-given talents. Friends will be received by the family on Friday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 10th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. George Parish, 1164 Commissioners Road West, London. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Judy are asked to consider Pancreatic Cancer Canada, Hospice Wellington (Guelph) or the charity of your choice. Online condolences accepted at www.westviewfuneralchapel.com
