Judy had brought so much laughter, joy and sunshine in many people's lives. She was a co worker, mentor and most of all a great friend. Knowing her over the past 20 years and her dedication to the ones she loved was inspirational and I am very grateful for the time we shared. She had always preached family values and I hope to be half the parent, mother that she was to her amazing four children. Judy was surrounded by family and friends who loved her unconditionally and we are all better people having known her and been part of her time here on earth.. We love you Judy and will miss your amazing smile and warm touch. You will be missed...

Judy and I always had our children as top topics on any given day. Her love of all things creative and artsy made her an avid follower of my daughters performance antics or my sons sports pursuits. She in turn passed on her lively stories of her foursome, especially the 'Samisms'. She told me that Hannah had joined the Original Kids Theatre because she knew that Jordan (daughter) had been a member for years and she loved to hear the children and youth singing. I went to one of Hannah's plays and she did a wonderful job! One of our favorite outings back in the day were the CIT Red Lobster dinners or lunches and Judy attended many times even when she was off work. Our conversation may have been consumed by our children but we both also knew the value of some adult time and conversation. Judy was bright, inspiring and always took things head on. I am not surprised that she used this same brave approach when making some hard decisions this summer. I will trust that Judy will shine on in our memories, always smiling if not laughing. Our lives are certainly richer for having known her.

I was fortunate to have worked with Judy on CIT at Vanier's. Sharing that period of time made me realize what a special person she was. You could count on her to be passionate, compassionate and forthright. She was knowledgable and had a memory that was truly amazing! She was always supportive and helpful. I will especially miss her quick wit. Her love of family and her 'Vanier family' was always evident. A special woman who touched many, many lives and who was loved by many but none more than her family.....God bless you all.

I had the privilege, and I do not use that word lightly, of working with Judy during our residential years. I fondly remember taking an outing to Guelph, to partake of Mr. & Mrs. Scott's pool and hospitality with a small group of our kids one summer. The warmth and generosity the Scott's shared that day was the core of Judy. Her passion and humour made her a great co-worker and friend. After I left Vanier, I often called into the Crisis and Intake line on behalf of kids I was working with and was always happy and reassured when Judy answered the phone as I knew "my kids" would be well taken care of. Judy was always a very proud Mom and had many wonderful stories and pictures to share. She was also a very proud daughter and sister. She has touched so many lives over the years....I doubt she really understood the impact she's had on others...we all certainly do. Judy, you are greatly missed......

I have known Judy for the 21 years I have worked at Vanier. Her ability to find the positive in people, her ability to rise above any problems she was experiencing, was truly inspirational. Judy loved a good joke and shared many with me. Her dedication to her kids, and to the families and kids of Vanier will remain with us all for many years to come. I will miss you Judy.. but your spirit and faith live on in your wonderful children.

My deepest sympathy to Judy's family. I grew up with Judy in Guelph, attending public and high school together. We spent many summer days together laughing and getting into trouble. I had the pleasure of seeing Judy on my 40th birthday when she drove from London to surprise me. I was glad to see she still had that spark in her eyes and the same laughter that came from deep within. Your spirit will never be forgotten.

Joel, Hannah, Aaron and Sammy, Your mom came into our life about 35 years ago. I think she learned how to change your diapers by practicing on Wes. I can't be all sad when I think of her because she brought so much laughter to me. Your mom had a way to make me laugh until the tears came down my face. These are the memories I will keep with me forever. You are so lucky to have had Judy for your mother because the one thing and most important thing any child could want is the unconditional love that she gave you all, equally. You were all the apple of her eye, the pride of her world. We will all miss her so much. God Bless. love Lily & Bob

Judy was a wonderful friend to grow up with and had such a great sense of fun. I still remember toboganning with her at Mary Phelan School when we hit a huge bump and went flying in different directions. We laughed hysterically until we realized that Judy couldn't walk and had probably broken her leg. She handled it all so well and sported her cast with a big smile. In my entire life I've never met anyone who loved children as much as Judy. If a baby was around, Judy was there and she was so loving with my younger sister Michelle. My heart goes out to Judy's children and the Scott family. Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. Judy was a wonderful person and she will always be remembered. God Bless.

My thoughts and prayers are with Judy's family and friends during this time of loss. As a past C-IT team member, I had the opportunity to get to know this determined, genuine and caring woman. Through all of life's challenges, and there were many times I felt she had more than a persons share, she remained encouraging and hopeful. She loved her children, her family and friends, her various jobs and Vanier. I will remember Judy as I last saw her... at her 25 year recognition party...a beautiful sunny day this summer...surrounded by family, friends and co-workers...smiling, genuine, humble and so very brave.

Tom and I met Judy many years ago when we worked at the Children's Village in St. Agatha.Judy was assigned to work with us as our child-care worker (we were houseparents). As luck would have it,Tom was working with her father Bill as a first year high school math teacher! Judy's infectious enthusiasm and joy enriched our days. We shared many a giggle during those times and we always looked forward to her arrival on site. She also played an important role in our extended family as she played "cupid" introducing my brother Paul to his beloved wife Susan. We will remember Judy with deep affection. To her beloved family we extend our deepest condolences.Knowing that love is eternal, we know in our hearts that judy's spirit will endure and continue to guide you and nurture you in the years to come.

Our deepest sympathy and prayers to Judy's children and family. It never ceased to amaze me how upbeat and warm Judy was. I had the pleasure of being a part of Judy and the children's lives at St. Theresa Catholic School. Her children were her world and I know they knew that because she shared her love with them every day. But Judy's love and care didn't end there. She brought that same concern for others to her work and when she volunteered. It is sad that we lost such a wonderful person, but I'm also happy that I had a chance to know her.
