Obituary of Mary Soondek Juhn Kim

On June 14, 2013, Mary Soondek Juhn Kim, 100, of Washington D.C. Devoted wife for 46 years to the late Daniel Taimook Kim (founder of the First Korean Church of Washington D.C.), Loving mother of Sylvia S. Kim, of San Fransico, CA, Ellen S. Lee, of Chevy Chase, MD and Carol Kim Retka, of Madison VA and mother in law of Robert L. Retka. Also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren. Besides her husband she was pre deceased by her son John J. Kim and grandson Stephen F. Lee. Mrs. Kim was former Research Analyst for the Federal Government. She was also a member for over 50 years and served as a Deacon of the National Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Chapel in Ingleside at Rock Creek, 3050 Military Rd. NW, Washington, D.C.
