Obituary of Claudine Niamien Yoboué

Claudine Niamien Yoboué was born February 18, 1956 in Dimbokro, Ivory Coast to Vincent Esseya, a police officer and Amenan Koffi, a housewife. The parents raised Claudine, and her brother, Sylvain, lovingly and with strict traditional values. Upon completion of her high school education in Ivory Coast, Claudine attended a professional school where she earned a certificate to become a secretary with a concentration in stenography. She worked within this profession until 1982, when at the age of 26, she ventured to America to seek better education and career opportunities. Once in America, Claudine continued to study and became a certified nursing assistant and later advanced to the specialty of dialysis technician. In 1988, she also started a family and bore her only child, Victoria Essah. Claudine was a firm believer in Christ. In 1971, she was baptized in Cocody, Ivory Coast at St. Jeans Church. Her friendly demeanor and her charismatic aura brought a light to her smile. She was generous in her willingness to help others and she was always fun loving. After a short battle with cancer, Claudine Niamien Yoboué passed into eternal life on April 21, 2013. She leaves behind her daughter Victoria, her mother Amenan Koffi, and her brother Sylvain along with many more family members and friends throughout America, Europe and over much of the continent of Africa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday May 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church, 3315 Greencastle Rd. Burtonsville, MD 20866.
