Obituary of Albert Annen

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Dr. Al Annen at University Hospital, London, on Friday, June 14 at the age of 62. Beloved husband for 39 years of Marguerite. Cherished and admired father of Kate (Andy) Reid, Emily (Kyle) Patterson and John A. Annen. Loving and proud Opa of Ella Richardson, and Rowan, Julia and Hannah Reid. Loved brother of Case (Jane) Annen, Joanne (Steve) Paas and Berni (Becky) Annen. Dear brother-in-law of Mary Lynne (Ric) Biggs and Anne (John) Tasker. Also survived by his mother-in-law, Marguerite Naylor. Predeceased by his daughter, Mary Jo, his brother, Henry, his parents, John and Henny (DeHaan) Annen and his father-in-law, Jack Naylor. For 34 years, Dr. Annen, a family physician, considered himself to be privileged to share in the lives of his many patients. He was a devoted medical doctor and a kind, wise and loving father and husband. He will be greatly missed. Visitors will be received from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, June 17th where the funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 18th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the London Food Bank, the Children’s Aid Society of London and Middlesex or a charity of your choice. Special thanks to Dr. Margrieta Edels, Dr. Charles and Mrs. Sharon George, and the exceptional physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and other staff at the LHSC University Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
