When I was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago, Barb was the one who made me feel safe, gave me hope and love. Barb has had one of the biggest impacts on my life, and always will. She gave me hope and inspiration in such a dark time. I will always love her for that! Her smile lit up the room, when my family and I had needed it. Her favourite saying must be 'Now listen here young lady!' Those times I will cherish forever! Barb will deeply be missed by my family and myself. XOX

My heart is very heavy hearing of "Auntie Barb's" passing. Barb was our angel of mercy when Madison was diagnosed with a rare childhood cancer. She extended her compassion and care to us every day and went above and beyond the call of duty. When I lost my father to cancer Barb and her partner Angela made the road trip to Chatham to personally extend their sympathy. Words cannot even describe how I felt and was touched forever by her actions and her words. Heaven doesnt need another angel but did they ever get an amazing one today. Holding her family in prayers... Sincerely, Melissa and Madison Louzon

We wish to extend our deepest condolences to all the family, friends and co-workers of Nurse Barb. As with many entries here, Barb was our first Nurse Case Manager when our son was diagnosed with leukemia 5 years ago. She always had a way about her - a way that made you feel comforted and less confused during a time when you thought that your were living in a nightmare. She was by our side during many "Dalanroid" outbursts in PMDU - and was always there with her spunky words of wisdom. We shall miss seeing her in the halls of PMDU, with that signature 'walk on a mission.' Godspeed

I hope that all those wonderful kind words and memories about your lovely Barb bring some comfort to your family. Barb was indeed special throughout Alexander's treatment which began 13 years ago. I was always happy to see her smiling face and her strong hugs got me through more than a few rough days. Alexander was not very generous with his hugs but every time he'd be sedated or asleep, Barb would sneak in and give him a quick hug. We were just remembering that last week with a smile. Our prayers are with you and a Mother Angel was born on Sunday, Mothers Day.

Our deepest sympathy goes to all of you -- Gary, Rebecca, Eric, and families. My earliest memory of Barb's kindness is of a time just after we moved to Lambeth in 1991, and became backyard neighbours with the Dagelman family. It was my birthday, and I was feeling a little sorry for myself because we were new to the area and my parents and friends lived far away. I called a local radio station to dedicate a birthday song to me, and mentioned that I had called in sick for work but wanted to hear a favourite song. Then I just pouted around the house. A short time later, my doorbell rang, and there stood Barb with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. She'd heard me on the radio and went out of her way to make me feel better. Her generous and loving spirit will be greatly missed by all who came to know her.
