Dear family of Ron McVey, It has been a long time since I last saw Ron. We participated in similar work as CCAC specialists but I worked in the Atlantic provinces. Ron and I shared many meals when we attended the same meetings. I will always remember him as being a charming, knowledgeable and friendly gentleman. He accepted the teasing he received about his English accent...(banana = bananer!)... with good humour. I have often thought about him. I know you will all miss him. My sincerest condolences. Chris Ulan

Dear Mavis and Family: I am so sorry that we have lost such a wonderful man. He has supported so many Kiwanians through the last few years. He had so much knowledge and so much grace as he guided those in executive positions. Ron leaves such an emptiness in our hearts, and I know that is even more true for you . May God comfort you.

I met Ron in 1983 when i joined the staff at CCAC. What a wonderful person he was - kind, understanding and always greeted you with a smile. To Ron's family my condolences - he was special and someone so special can never be forgotten. To Mrs. McVey and the McVey Family. My sincere condolences. I worked with Ron in the Department of Consumer and Corporate Affairs. When I joined that department in 1989, Ron was the commodity specialist for the Consumer Packaging and Labelling Act. Time has marched on and even though that is now 24 years ago, I have fond memories of Ron as a great mentor and teacher who willingly took the time to pass on his knowledge and experience to many of us. It was an honour to work with him.

Our deepest condolences to Mavis and the rest of the family. Ron, with whom I worked for many years, was always a gentleman. Ron will be remembered for many, many years and we will also miss our yearly Christmas and Birthday Greetings, often "with the help of Jacquie Lawson". It became a sad day when I got a chance to open my e-mail this morning during my Europe travels to learn of his passsing. Sincerely, Peter and Doreen.

So sad to hear of Ron's passing. Sincerest condolences to Mavis and family. I knew him as a fine colleague and friend at Consumer and Corporate Affairs Canada. He always kept in touch through e-card Christmas and Easter greetings to us. A gentleman of many talents, he possessed a fine, dry sense of humour. He will be missed by many.
