Obituary of Marion Isabel Mower
On April 2, 2013, Marion Isabel Mower peacefully passed away surrounded by family at the Dearness Home. Marion was in her 86th year. Beloved wife of William Bruce Mower (Bud) for 63 years. Precious mother of Nancy (Larry) Pigram and Linda Hunter (Jim deceased 2013). Loving grandmother of Michael Pigram (son Jack), Kimberly (Steve) Rumford (Cassidy and Brayden), Daryl (Deb) Hunter (Hannah, Noah, and Gabriel), Kelly (Kevin) Hunter Jackson (Chloe). Fondly remembered by sisters Dorothy Warden (Bud deceased 1994) and Patricia (Bill) McCreery McAleece. Predeceased by sister Norma Grimsley and parents Glen and Florence McCreery. Marion was born in North Ridge and as a young married couple she and Bud bought a farm east of Harrietsville in 1952. She was active in the Harrietsville United Church and loved singing in the choir. She worked at Imperial Tobacco during the 60s, Hardee Farms during the 70s and Strathroy Foods until her retirement in 1991. Marion and Bud moved to London in 1977 where they resided together until Marion’s move to the Dearness Home in 2006. A deep and heartfelt thanks to all the staff who cared for her for over 6 years. They were always amazed at Bud’s faithful visits to his wife. Their love for each other never gave up. Our family continued to laugh, cry and celebrate life wherever Mom was. Friends will be received by the family on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the service will be conducted on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with reception immediately following. Private family interment at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer Society or charity of your choice.
