Obituary of James Cornelius McGuire

Peacefully at University Hospital on Wednesday, February 27th, 2013 surrounded in the love of his family in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Pat for 65 years. Cherished and respected father of Jim Jr. McGuire, Dorothy (Gary) Rutter, Paul (JoAnne) McGuire, Louise Duncan, and Michael McGuire (Elke Michaelsen). Loving grandfather of Stephanie, Miranda, Laisha, Raymond, James, Kyle, Sam, Benn, Patricia and Melanie. Dear brother of Gloria (Hector) Rankin and brother-in-law of Helen (Rick) Gray. James proudly served his country with the Canadian Armed Forces with duties in Korea, Germany, Egypt, Cyprus and Alert. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Saturday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. with a combination KVA and RCR procession being held at 6:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at Westview on Sunday, March 3rd, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation with a private family interment at a later date.
