Dear Natasha, Kyra and Taya and your entire family: We know that your hearts are broken. Ed was a very special man and he has left his footprints in our hearts, in people's lives and know that he will be remembered for his creativity, his spirit and his love of life. He talked openly of you daily, and he loved you deeply. Hold your memories close as you find grace and love in each other. I know that he would have wanted you to rejoice in his love of life, not his sorrow of leaving you without him. With our kindest thoughts and prayers. Janis (and Robert) Hartford

We are grieving with you. Ed's passion for life was evident in how much he knew on so many topics. I always found myself learning something from him. My eight year old son still asks me "would Ed know what bug that is?"and surely Ed would . I will dearly miss the special times we spent steelheading together on "the river". It was never taken forgranted.-we both always acknowledged that. I will never have a fishing partner like you, the memories run deep. You will be dearly missed my friend. Kent Lattanzio.

We feel very fortunate to have worked with Ed on our reno and love our "Ed Woudsma Kitchen." Ed was incredibly kind, patient, and creative as we problem-solved the details. I ran into Ed at Chapters in November and enjoyed a long chat, but through that conversation heard that he was facing serious health challenges. We are very sad to hear that his health deteriorated. We can only imagine how much his sense of humour, energy and warmth will be missed. We extend condolences to his family and friends.

Our deepest condolences to your family. We came to know Ed through the amazing kitchen renovation he designed for us. Yet every visit he made would always wander into a discussion about something else, with of course family at the top of the list. It was clear he was a very proud father and husband. Ed had such a bright and gentle energy and you could see he was a talented man with many cherished interests who engaged life fully. No doubt words will not describe how deeply he will be missed. We are so sorry for your loss.
