She will be fondly remembered by curlers of the London Curling Club where, after over 35 years of active curling, she sponsored Ladies Bonspiels with proceeds going to charity. She was also active at Sunningdale Golf & Country Club before physical problems prevented her from playing. Kay and Ron travelled extensively for 30 years, enjoying visits to Europe, Africa, Asia and Russia. Kay’s friendly ways, her cooperative, helpful actions, and her pleasant manner will be fondly spoken of by the many people whose lives she touched. Cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, February 22nd, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Reception to follow at the Sunningdale Golf & Country Club. In lieu of flowers, donations to heart and cancer charities would be appreciated. Special thanks to all the nurses and doctors on the 4th floor, University Hospital, who looked after her so well in her final days.
