Obituary of Louis Francis Mocca
Lou passed away suddenly on Friday, March 30, 2012.
Lou's life was blessed with many joys- his family, two Bernese mountain dogs, his passion for cycling, running, kayaking, watching the Redskins, the beach, and one special 1969 Chevelle.
Lou dedicated his career to helping others through the promotion of life saving vaccines. He honorably served his country for 20 years in the United States Public Health Services retiring at the rank of Commander. Lou is survived by his loving wife Ellen, his 3 beloved sons-Andrew, Chris and Brian who he loved with all his heart, 4 beautiful Grandchildren-Rachel, Liliana, Sophia and Vincent , his "best friends", Donovan and Bella and so many other loving family members and friends.
Words cannot express how much he will be missed.
"To laugh often and love much…to have the affection of children; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a beautiful child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has been made easier because you have lived-this is to have succeeded in life."
